Exciting News - we are building a Brand New Shop!

We are delighted to announce that we're building a brand new shop!

After many years of serving our customers, it's time to replace our current building with a modern new store.

We are very excited about this next chapter and can't wait to share it with you.

What you need to know:

Work begins on Wednesday 26th of August, but we will still be open for cash payments.
The coffee shop will be closed on 26th August.
The entire site will be closed from Monday 31st August to Wednesday 2nd September (inclusive)

whilst we complete the next stage of the works.

Apart from these dates, we will be open as usual, with work taking place around us.
There will be a temporary shop to complete all your usual purchases.

We appreciate your patience and support during the changes

and we look forward to welcoming everyone to our new shop in the Autumn.

Tips for August

August is the prefect time to prepare for winter

and your garden of 2027

Put in water butts/containers, tanks or even animal troughs under gutters to harvest winter rainfall. This summer has taught us all how important this is to reduce our dependancy on garden hoses. Plants in your garden will also thank you for rainwater rather than tap water.

Install simple irrigation systems/soaker seeper hose for watering efficiency. Place 'olla' pots in your beds for a slow release underground irrigation system, feeding plants roots directly.

Planting small trees and shrubs can help stop flooding and erosion.

Mulch, mulch, mulch beds and pots using the "chop & drop" method of leaving small cuttings leaves, deadheads, lawn clippings (minus seeds) on beds.We also sell Biochar to top beds with.
